Schedule Structure (for Instructional/Recreational Programs)

Here are the details for how the season will break down

• Most Age Groups typically have one event (typically one hour) during the week (Monday - Thursday, possibly Friday) and one (also typically one hour) during the weekend (Saturday - Sunday). High School Boys and Girls will only play during the week (typically 2 events) with no events on weekends.
• Number of Games Per League:
  • Instructional (2nd/3rd Graders): 10 Games, No Playoffs
  • Prep Boys (4th/5th Graders): 10 Games, Playoffs At the End of Season
  • Prep Girls (4th/5th Graders): 8 Games, Playoffs At the End of Season
  • Middle Boys/Girls (6th - 8th Graders): 10 Games, Playoffs At the End of Season
  • Freshmen Boys (8th/9th Graders): 12 Games, Playoffs At the End of Season
  • High School Boys (10th - 12th Graders)/High School Girls (9th - 12th Graders): 12 Games, Playoffs At the End of Season
• Season starts with Skill Evaluations and the ending depends on the age group. Typically the latest the season runs is until early/mid-March 
• Skill Evaluations Dates (Details will be emailed to registrants):
  • Prep, Middle Girls: Early October
  • Instructional, Prep Boys: Week after Thanksgiving
  • Middle Boys, Freshman Boys, High School Boys, High School Girls: Tentatively Week of November 14th
• After Skill Evaluations are completed, teams are formed, and practices start
• Approximate Timeline of Season for each group (Practices, Games and Playoffs):
  • Instructional, Prep Boys/Girls
    • Start - Week After Thanksgiving
    • End - Mid-March
  • Middle Boys
    • Start - Week of November 14th
    • End - Mid-March
  • Middle Girls
    • Start - Early October
    • End -  Week of January 15th
  • Freshmen, High School Boys
    • Start - Week of November 14th
    • End - Week of February 20th
  • High School Girls
    • Start - Week of November 14th
    • End - Week of February 20th
• Middle Schools:
  • Every age group's events, except Instructional, are at Middle Schools.
  • Locations Available: Lake Ridge, Beville, Benton, Hampton, Fred Lynn, Potomac, Potomac Shores Middle Schools
  • The younger age groups typically get the earlier time slots.
  • Here is when the gyms are typically open below, this means your practice/games could be scheduled during these times (typically an hour for a practice/game):
    • 6:45 PM - 9:30 PM during Weekdays.
    • 9:15 PM - 7:15 PM on Saturdays
    • 1:15 PM - 7:15 PM on Sundays (if needed)
• Elementary Schools:
  • For Instructional League Only
  • Locations Available: Kyle Wilson and Kilby Elementary Schools
  • Here is when the gyms are typically open below, this means your practice/games could be scheduled during these times
    • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM, practices last until 8:30 PM (gym has to be reserved for a full 2-hours and is pre-empted by School's SACC programs) during Weekdays:
    • 1:15 PM - 7:15 PM on Sundays
