Coaches' Instructions

Description

Person with a heart to make a difference in the lives of EPWBA student-athletes. No prior experience is necessary, but encouraged.  Volunteers must agree to have a background check completed; must complete online concussion training.

Becoming a Coach

Interested in becoming a coach for the EPWBA?  All our coaches are volunteers, and we are interested in having coaches for all our age groups.  There is a 2 step process you must take in order to become a coach:

1. Go to https://www.train.org/cdctrain/course/1089818/, create an account, and complete the concussion training.  All coaches are required to complete concussion training in order to coach in our league.  Please note, you will not be able to complete Step 2 until you have completed this training.  Once you have completed this training, save your certificate as a PDF file. Email your certificate to a league representative for approval.
2. Register on our website to coach:
   1. Go to www.epwba.org. 
   2. Go to the menu above and click "Registration" to start the process.  
   3. On that screen click the "Volunteer" button.
   4. If you have an account on TeamSideline then you login, if not then you must create an account first.
   5. Follow the screen prompts
      1.  All coaches who register will be asked for their social security number as part of completing their background check. Background checks will now be completed within TeamSideline as part of your registration with the league. Once you have completed this part, you are done. Only coaches who have passed a successful background check will be assigned to a team.
   6.  You will be done with registration once you receive a message on the screen and confirmation email setting you are done.
